Braundera YMCA Kids Triathlon, Sunday, October 12th
The Braundera YMCA Kids Triathlon is Sunday, 8am, October 12th, 2008. Packet pick up is Saturday October 11th @ Run Gear Run ( 18720 Stone Oak Drive, suite 150) from 12-6pm. A Beginner Clinic and Information Session will take place at 3:00pm at Run Gear Run. Race day packet pickup is an additional $10 cash or check only: 6:30am-7:00am at the YMCA poolin OP Schnabel Park. USAT Sanction pending. Field limited signup early.......................................
7-10 year olds 100 meter swim, 2.5 mile bike, 1k run........................................................
11-15 year olds 200 meter swim, 5 mile bike, 2k run
Additional Location Information
The Braundera YMCA Kids Triathlon will take place in O.P. Schnabel Park at the brand new YMCA pool facility located just inside the park........Directions: From IH1604 head south on Bandera Road and then left on Braun Road into the park. From IH410 head north on Bandera Road and then right on Braun Road into Park
Parking: Please park in the YMCA Parking lot and walk the bike to the pool area.
Race Instructions: Please Read
Park in the YMCA parking lot and walk your bike to the pool…………1. The race is chip timed: timing chips are available race morning at the pool……….2. Check-in/Body marking starts at 6:30am........ 3. Before you enter the transition area you must have your race number and be body marked……4. Swim is a snake up and back in the Pool lanes with 10 second intervals between athletes…..5. Bike will take place in the Park and in a quiet neighborhood but is open to traffic. Traffic will be minimal on a Sunday morning Route will be marked with white arrows…..6. Run is a loop course around the Park Ball Fields and will have volunteers stationed along the route. Course is on a concrete path with a small section on dirt and grass. Route will be marked with white arrows..... 7. All Finishers will receive a finishers medals and special awards will be presented to the top 3 male and females in each age group. Awards shortly after the last person has finished......8. Race Day Packet pickup 6:00am-6:45am, $10 additional cash or check only.
Packet Pickup Instructions
USAT requires that all participants be a USAT member. If you are not a member of USAT, you will need to purchase a membership for $5.00, cash or check only. This is only done at packet pickup by the participant and Guardian/Parent needs to be present. Packet pickup will be at Run Gear Run on Saturday October 11th from 12pm to 6pm. A Beginners Clinic and information session will take place at 3:00pm at Run Gear Run. Awards
All Finishers will receiva a finishers medal and special awards will be presented to the top 3 male and female in each age group.
Waiver and Release
I understand that there are no refunds, transfers or credits. I assume complete and full responsibility, and I hereby release and hold harmless Redemption Race Productions staff, Run Gear Run, Braundera YMCA, City of San Antonio and any person/venues, volunteers or anyone affiliated with the Braundera YMCA Kids Triathlon. USAT waiver will be signed at packet pickup. All entrants/competitors will be required to sign USAT waiver and pick up their packet. No one will be permitted to collect another entrant’s packet.
