The Anti-Cruelty Society's 16th Annual Bark in the Park
On Saturday, May 1st, Chicagoland animal lovers will hightail it to Montrose Harbor for The Anti-Cruelty Society’s 16th annual Bark In The Park, a 5K (3.1)mile walk with (or without) your dog, to benefit The Anti-Cruelty Society, Chicago's comprehensive, open-door, unlimited stay humane society. After the walk join us for snacks from our sponsors for you and your pup, a souvenir photo booth, Animal Intuitive Denise Zak, or pet portraits with Kevin Landis. You can participate in contests including cute pet tricks, the dog-owner look-a-like, or the canine fashion parade. Other fun-filled activities include an agility course, sampling free sponsor products or check out the interactive fun in the Family Fun tent. If your dog is an Anti-Cruelty Society alum, meet at the stage after the walk so you can meet other Anti-Cruelty Society alumi. And don't forget to check out the free raffle at the stage, listen for your participant number and you could win a great prize. You can even try your luck in our 50/50 raffle (the winner receives half and The Anti-Cruelty Society wins half of the pot). Please help us raise fund for our life-saving work by asking your friends, family and co-workers to pledge your walk. Your registration fee helps to pay for your t-shirt and other costs involved with us presenting the event. You can win great things for yourself by raising funds. Our goal is for everyone to raise least $196 - that is the first week's shelter care for one dog and one cat. After you complete your registration you will have the opportunity to create your own fundrasing page. It's fun and easy. Check our website for a complete list of this year's prizes. The participant who raises the most pledges will win two round trip airline tickets (some restrictions apply). Thank you so much and we will see you at the Park!
Important Notes
Only one dog per registrant, please.

All dogs must remain on a leashes throughout the event.

Retractable leashes must be locked in a manageable position.

No aggressive animals or animals in heat.

Be sure your dog wears current rabies and I.D. tags.

No cats or other pets, skateboards, bikes, or rollerblades allowed.

Event officials reserve the right to refuse entry.

Please pick up after your pup. Bags will be available throughout the event site.

Water will be available throughout the event site and on the walking path. Medical staff and veterinarians will be onsite.

Waiver and Release
I understand that participating in The Anti-Cruelty Society’s Bark In The Park 14 includes an element of risk for both me and my dog. I should not participate unless the dog and I are physically able and properly conditioned. I agree to abide by any decision of an event official relevant to the dog’s and my ability to complete this event safely and I further agree that event officials may authorize necessary emergency treatment for me and/or my dog. I also understand that both vehicle traffic and spectators may be present along the course and I assume the risk of participating under such conditions. I further assume any and all other risks associated with participating in this event, including but not limited to, illness, falls, contact with spectators, other participants or dogs, the effects of the weather, including temperature extreme and humidity, and the surface conditions of the roads, sidewalks, and footpaths, all such risks being understood and appreciated by me. I also affirm that the dog I will be participating with has current rabies vaccinations. I agree to abide by all rules of the event.

Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of this acceptance of my entry, I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators or anyone else who might claim on my behalf, covenant not to sue, and waive, release and discharge The Anti-Cruelty Society, Jim Brimm & Associates, The City of Chicago, Chicago Park District, event officials, volunteers, and any other sponsors, suppliers, agents, independent contractors, employees and other personnel in any way assisting or connected with this event from any claims or liability of any kind whatsoever arising out of my participating in this event, even though the liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or parties named in this waiver.

I also understand that The Anti-Cruelty Society or any sponsor may subsequently use, for publicity or promotional purpose, my name or pictures of me or my pet without liability or obligation to me.

I, THE PARTICIPANT OR PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN OF THE PARTICIPANT IF UNDER THE AGE OF 18, AGREE TO ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE WAIVER AND INDEMNIFICATION ABOVE.
